Wellness/Training & Performance Therapy
Other Specialty Services
At VIP PT we use all of the latest hands-on techniques to help assess movement, mobilize joints, and manipulate soft tissue (muscles, skin, ligaments). Physical therapy can help increase range of motion, decrease pain or swelling, promote muscle relaxation, improve athletic performance, and ultimately keep you in the game.
VIP PT helps people assess their current physical and emotional state, and helps them set goals for what they want to achieve in their overall wellness and health by working with them on plans of action to reach these goals.
(Sport Specific Training/Rehab)
Therapy for athletes looking to improve their technique, transition safely from physical therapy back to their sport. VIP PT will assess their movements to prevent injury, or shorten their post-workout recovery time, and offer sport performance assessments to track progress.
This PT method is often used to treat sports injuries, muscle pain, and even fibromyalgia pain. Dry needling may provide relief for some muscular pain and stiffness. In addition, easing the trigger points may improve flexibility and increase range of motion.
IASTM / Scraping
An alternative medicine therapy that can be useful for treating skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles.
NormaTec Compression Therapy
This dynamic compression device uses compressed air to massage limbs, mobilize fluid, and fight inflammation. Treatment times can be set as long or as short as needed, but most conditions benefit from session times between 30 minutes and 1 hour per day.
Blood Flow Restriction Therapy
Blood flow restriction training involves decreasing blood flow to working muscles in order to promote hypertrophy and prevent disuse atrophy of muscles. This treatment is typically used during exercise.
Joint and Spinal Manipulations/ Mobilization
Both manipulation and mobilization are important manual therpay techniques available through VIP PT. Manipulation involves twisting the neck or back to the end of range, then giving a sudden thrust. Mobilization stretches stiff joints to restore range.
